U13 Coach Introduction Letter
U13 2023/2024 Coach Letter

My name is Kris Heideman and I will be the coach for the upcoming Aces U13 hockey season. I would like to invite all 2011 birth year players that are interested in trying out to please reach out if you have any questions.  All try out sessions are currently at the PACC although we are looking to add additional exhibition games if possible. Please continue to check the Aces website for updated schedule.

Players will be expected to arrive for tryouts ready to put their best performance forward.  Please ensure they come prepared for day 1.

A goal of mine every year is to ensure players enjoy and look forward to coming to practices. I take practices very seriously and they will form the foundation for the commitment, work ethic and intensity that will carry over into our games. They will be high tempo and engaging for all players.  Ensuring that development for each individual player is maximized over the course of the year is very important at this age and the Aces program provides a great opportunity to achieve this.

I strive all the time to achieve the balance between ensuring the kids appreciate the importance, privilege and commitment from parents required for them to play at the AA level while at the same time making sure the game remains fun and that expectations are kept in perspective. This year will be a positive experience for players and parents.

The following tournaments have been booked:
Mississauga Early Bird, Oct 6-8
Pembroke Silver Stick, Nov 17-19
Oshawa Hockey Fest, Dec 8-10
Bell Capital Cup, Dec 28-30

We are looking to build on the growth the 2011 Aces cohort has seen in the past couple seasons. It starts with ensuring the best 2011 born players in the Valley are at tryouts. I strongly encourage anyone that has any questions they would like answered which would assist in their decision to try out for the Aces to contact me and I would be happy to discuss.
